I know,\u00a0 it sounds like something out of <a title=\"Shadowrun Wiki entry\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shadowrun\" target=\"_blank\">shadowrun<\/a> or<a title=\"Wiki entry on the Matrix\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Matrix\" target=\"_blank\"> the matrix<\/a> or even <a title=\"Link to Ghost in the shell wiki entry\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ghost_in_the_Shell\" target=\"_blank\">ghost in the shell<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, it is a way of allowig multiple operating systems run on the same processor hardware. This is known as <a title=\"Quick rundown on the types of virtualisation out there\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Virtualization\" target=\"_blank\">virtualisation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So i first tried it out on my Shuttle PC (a SN27P20) but the CD bootable software did not like it one bit!<\/p>\n<p>Next I tried it on my old Multimedia PC and this time it worked!<\/p>\n<p>So far i&#8217;ve only installed the &#8216;dos games&#8217; package to see if it all works &#8211; the next one will be Ubuntu 9.04 to see how well it performs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve decided to have a go with the &#8216;bare metal&#8217; hypervisor that&#8217;s free as provided by VMWare (here).
