The install process itself was reasonably easy, once I’d installed vSphere<\/a>. You could then apply the update to the server from that using an image you download.<\/p>\n Not much to report other than the fact that I still think the memory on this machine needs to be higher – Currently its 2Gb and still doesn’t seem to be enough to run Windows 7 quickly.<\/p>\n At this rate I may build a Win 7 box and install VMWare Server<\/a> on it and see if it performs better that way…<\/p>\n It’s been fun running with the “Bare Metal” version but it’s not for the home user – set-up is none-too-easy although i probably won’t be in a position to comment until I can use iSCSI as a resource (which means i’m waiting on the Netgear ReadyNAS to get their stuff done!).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I’ve updated this now to VMware ESXi 4.0.
